The Black Wig Look

It is Mother's Day and my mother is getting older and she is far away. I miss her and hope that she had a nice day. I wasn't able to get through on the telephone during the window after lunch time and before dinner time, which is when she'll accept calls from me if she's feeling okay and up to it. I also refused to iron clothes or do dishes today or go grocery shopping. I guess it was like a regular day. Hahahaha.

I pampered myself yesterday. I went and had my hair cut and colored. I have a perm and the guy who did my hair had his heart set on making my hair smooth and he blow-dried it with a round roller brush. It turned out to be a big, huge bubble with frizz. On top of that he talked me into getting my eyebrows waxed so I looked a little scary until this morning when I showered and let the curls back in my hair and it doesn't stand out as much. All my life, long or short, I've had the black wig look. I still do. I'd like to let my hair grow gracefully gray but my son says it makes me look old before my time. So, I guess I'm stuck coloring it.
