Predestined

I.
Someone has written my lines
Has scripted all of my failures
And mapped out all my shame.
Somehow, someone dangles all
The strings of my life,
Has numbered my days,
Named my weaknesses,
Chosen my last breath,
Picked my enemies,
Shared my winnings.
Someone has read my face
Has put me
In exactly the right place.
Someone, somehow is rewarded
Because of me.
But that someone doesn’t know me.
II.
Some unnamed one
Could trample me, control me,
Own me as a slave or even
Torture me to death.
As long as I know myself
And do not define myself
by these constraints
Then I am free!

Where were you when Larry Birkhead said "I told you so!"

I can remember where I was when I learned that estranged Larry Birkhead was the father of Anna Nicole's baby, Dannylinn. I was at work earlier this week and two ladies and I were joking about it. But, I am still very worried about that little girl's future and the ability of her father to guide her properly and wisely through the quagmire of life that her mother couldn't quite maneuver. I would feel better with Howard K. Stern as guardian. It presents a great example of why women should not be loose. The wrong man could end up the father. I don't mean to say that Larry Birkhead is the wrong man but I wonder how prepared he is to stand up to Anna Nicole's mother, Fergie and her claim for custody. I think that the best thing for Howard would be for him to move on with his life. But I have a feeling he is going to fall into a deep Depression. I hope not! Our joke at work was that due to the firewall at work that hopefully blocks objectionable material we couldn't watch a video of two otters holding hands at the Vancouver aquarium but we could get the breaking story That Larry Birkhead is the father of Dannylinn.
